The advent of the 'ride and drive' feature at the auto shows really does give consumers a better 'look' at potential vehicle purchases.  Comparing vehicles side by side is a real advantage and the rides make it better. End of January in Houston means two things - get ready for February and the Houston Auto Show comes to town! For the second year in a row, the Auto Show has combined forces with the annual Boat Show to fill NRG with all types of vehicles.  There are some Ride N' Drives out on the parking lot, including an Electric Vehicle Drive that allows people to experience an EV while at the show. Along with the new cars and trucks, there is a Learning Center where consumers can learn about road services, insurances, EVs, and much more. Over in the Boat Show, a lot of new models, displays by the Coast Guard, motors, and even an Electric Boat is on display.  There are also boating and fishing accessories available with several visitors walking the show floor with new fishing rods in hand. Truly a family event and RoShelle Salinas has some of the details. Long known for luxury, the Infiniti brand continues to uphold that goal. Redesigned in 2022, the 2023 QX60 is part of the second generation and brings in some nice updates. Michael Marrs had the opportunity to spend some time behind the wheel and is sharing what he found in the New Car Showroom.

Seems that the idea of having a car club reach a 40th anniversary is getting harder to do.  John Carnahan, President of the 38 year old Spindletop Street Rod Car Club is working on hitting that mark and has some ideas on how to do that. We also talk about the Spindletop Rod and Classic Car Show that will be coming up in March, where over 200 vehicles entered in 2022.  They are looking for more more more in 2023.
