Rental Car crisis? We have more from Christopher Elliott

With the COVID shutting things down, rental car companies had massive fleets to deal with - fleets that were sitting still and costing money. Wondering how to get your 'ride' across country? Ship it!

The massive growth in the use of internet access has created all sorts of ways for us to find help. In the automotive world, it is so much easier to search for hard to find parts, or maybe that dream project car, and even better, that completed dream car that we always wanted. A lot of people do search for cars, but they limit the search area to what they are willing to trailer to and from. What happens when that dream project car is across the country? Just going down the highway we can see haulers with loads of new cars, occasionally some wrecked rides headed to the big scrapyard in the sky. The first time I saw someone buy a 1966 GTO out of New Jersey on Ebay, the first question I had was how are you going to get enough time off to go get it from Texas? Seems the 'dealer' that he bought it from could make arrangements for shipping, and so about two weeks later, the transport rolled the ride off and all he had to do was get it with a trailer across town. Easy stuff, but that…

'El Camino' - the mythical magical ride from Chevrolet!

The El Camino has been the thing of myths, legends, and movies for several years. It is basically a Chevelle with at truck bed incorporated into the body lines. This not only gives it plenty of flexibility regarding use for transportation or hauling a few things, but it also sets it up for some hot rodding! Under the hood, can't tell the difference between the Chevelle and the El Camino. Running with a small block that has a lot of chrome under the hood and modifications under the intake, this ride sounds very healthy. And it goes on from there....Doug Keener with his 1969 El Camino. In our feature segment this episode, Jeff Dziekan is looking at the 2019 Nissan 370Z, a sharp sports car that has changed several times over the years. ----- ----- ----- Be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast provider for the next episode of In Wheel Time Car Talk six days a week, and check out our live broadcast every Saturday, 8a-11aCT simulcasting on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and InWh…
