The very popular OnStar system from GM has not only been around for a while, but it really did set the standard for some of the more recent systems that help drivers in a variety of ways. Directions, help when there is an accident, door locks and even locating a vehicle that has been stolen. Chris Dangerfield rolled into the July Edition of Tailpipes & Tacos in a very nonchalant manner. The idea that no one would notice the super straight gloss black 1967 Chevelle that has real fatties neatly tucked under the rear quarters and an exhaust that sounds like there is plenty of power under the hood to back it up. Add in a custom red interior and it is something to behold. So we found Chris and asked him to share his story about the Blown Big Block Black 1967 Chevelle. With the mid-size truck segment continuing to find success, manufacturers are looking for the next great 'idea'. It looks like the Ford Motor Company steps out in the lead once again with an entry into the compact truck segment. Once upon a time there were 'mini' trucks, a small truck segment that was hugely popular with small business and young people looking for an inexpensive ride. It also gave birth to the mini truck movement of custom trucks. It all faded away at the factory level until GM came back with a mid-size entry. Ford followed with the new Ranger as a mid-size, and while many of us thought there was still a small truck segment, the OEMs are not so sure. However based on the success of the mid-size, at least there is now a compact truck, which is bigger than the old mini-trucks, but it is a start. Bayway Chevrolet cleared their lot so the could host a benefit car show for 'Wheelchairs for Warriors' which is just like the name says - this group provides specialized wheelchairs for our Armed Service Veterans. It was a great event, a lot of entries, a silent auction, a live auction, and plenty of food trucks. Along with a dj setup to keep people entertained and informed, In Wheel Time was there! Joining us in this segment is Greg and Marty Graves to share their pair of 1957 Chevrolets. Up first is the extended ambulance that was did dual duty as a hearse and ambulance.
