No , I am talking about it now the Denali all-wheel drive version of this vehicle . Now , this is a midsize crossover SUV . It comes in three trim levels the Elevation , which has an all-wheel drive variation to it , the AT4 and the Denali , and we happen to have the Denali with the all-wheel drive . Now , this is the third generation of the Acadia . It was introduced in 2024 . So 2025 is kind of some tweaks , some updates on it , and we happen to have the seven passenger model . I found out I haven't seen it but in the elevation you can get an eight passenger seating arrangement on it . Uh , out front you're going to find rain wipers , led lighting . You got a panoramic sunroof , you got roof rails on it , you got a auto sense power lift gate that works pretty good . And then you got a 22 by eight and a half inch aluminum wheels on this vehicle that look really well . Now , that is the optional package , and we also had the trailering package , which I'm mentioning that here because that's part of what we'll get to in just a little bit .

The interior , we had the leather seating , which , which is a Denali , that's what you expect . Front seats are heated and ventilated . The second row are bucket seats in this model . Again , if you happen to get the eight-passenger seating arrangement , that would be a bench seat Then we had . The third row is a 60-40 split with the one-touch fold option . When you lift up the gate , there's a button right there fold option . When you lift up the gate , there's a button right there , you push it and everything starts folding and it's really really cool if you're trying to put cargo in and you don't think to fold it down before you get to it .

Up front we had the 15 inch display . Now it's standard in this vehicle . That's where you're going to find all your convenience controls , the nav , your , your uh surround vision cameras to see around all the vehicle . We also had the-inch driver information center right in front of us Got a lot of different ways that you can configure that to however you want it to , where you get the information you need about the vehicle . The rear camera mirror works great . It's got a really good picture on that and I've come to like that a whole lot and I miss it when we don't have it .

This unit happens to have a rear air conditioning system on it too . Bose 16-speaker audio system will fill this thing up with plenty of sound now , up front , the only engine you're going to get in this is a 2.5 liter turbo . It has 328 horsepower . It's 326 pounds . Yes , four cylinder , 326 pound feet . Maybe losing , say , eight speed automatic . Did you lose your place ? No , I was looking for something else . When you said that , I said what ? Anyway , it's rated to tow 5,000 pounds when properly equipped . Now that's where the trailer package comes in with this vehicle , so that you can get to that . Now the EPA says you should be looking for 19 in the city , 24 on the highway and combined 21 . Now I drove this vehicle 138 miles the days that I had it and I got 18 miles per gallon as an overall average on it .

well , because I had to drive the truck because we were bringing gear and loading gear up and stuff and all that the other week that I had .

Go ahead but but out on the highway . I did push it out on the highway some and and it was surprisingly quiet for that big of a vehicle . Sometimes you think , well , it's big and it's open and it's going to have a lot of echo and a lot of noise .

It's only got a four banger in it and it's got responsive steering .

It's very responsive and it has the performance suspension on the Denali . So not only is it roomy but it's very responsive and it doesn't wobble all over the road . Now , base model price on a vehicle like this $42,900 . The base trim price is $55,900 . Yikes and MSRP , as we got it was $64,410 . Oh10 , so it's it's kind of up there . When you look at the ford explorer , that starts at 39 , 7 . The honda pilot starts at 40 200 , the kia telluride which I happen to like that vehicle as well 36 390 . So at the base trim level . But again , you're talking about this is the Denali , so it does have a lot of extra things on it , a lot of extra touches that are considered upgrades in it . But if you're looking for that size of vehicle , I was really impressed . My wife was impressed with it . You know it's something that you should look at Heck yeah for $65,000 , hello , it almost feels like you're driving the bigger Tahoe .

You pulled up in that and I thought well , that's a Suburban , oh no , it's a Tahoe . So they're making these vehicles , they're changing the body style . And they look really good and they look a lot bigger than the original version of that thing .

Well , apparently it's not a Delco Remy , or it's not a Diehard , which can result in a loss of electrical accessories including the hazard lights or cause a loss of drive space .

Okay , that kind of kicks it up a notch . For me , it's clearly a Restomod , a 1970 . Oh , restomod .

Update on Mario Andretti , cadillac and all the Formula One guru stuff out there . Former Formula One world champion , mario Andretti will be a director of the board of the newly approved Cadillac F1 racing team which puts a famous American carmaker with racing partner Andretti Global on the grid of 2026 , not very far away .

It was a long and agonizing road , andretti said . Application was denied in early 24 by the F1 commercial side of the business . Mario spoke to NBC last week and it was about achieving his dream and his role of the new team advising on driver selection , which is good . Everybody on the other teams are wanting to jump and go back onto them . He said the team is in discussions with Ferrari to build an engine for the first two years before 2028 , when it plans to have cadillac praise lord power unit . He said the target is to launch with one experienced f1 driver , which name one , probably him , uh , and a younger american talent , which is also cool .

Formula one is really the olympics of motorsports , he said , because of the international nature of it , and so there's a lot of national pride that goes with it . When you win , they play the national anthem and you're up on that top step of the podium . He's loving that and the role of andretti global . Well , andretti says they're going to build the car . Time now for this hour's car review . I had a chance to drive the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque . Final assembly location is Hailwood . The UK Comes in these trim levels only two s and dynamic se . I have the dynamic se . This is classified as a small suv . Seats five people , including the driver . All new in 2020 . I didn't know that it was that old . Here we are , five years later .

Okay , exterior features Simple , unique , attractive front fascia Love it . High body . Short roof looks cool , but does limit headroom and visibility . Pronounced wheel arches give the body a taut look like somebody just kind of stretched the skin right over it . Small rear hatch opening . Pop-out door handles were kind of unique . They were rectangles . I liked it what I did like overall . The overall look to me gets an A .

Interior highlights this is a minimalist dash . It gives a sleek appearance , but it does have its drawbacks . Seating is comfortable with nice materials . A couple of steering wheel controls had me confused . For instance , what does the diamond mean ? What does the O or zero mean on the button on the dash , on the steering wheel ? Well , oops , now it , you'd think . But no , that's not it . One of them is actually a control that you can program whatever you want . You can make the button on the steering wheel whatever feature you want it to be . That's not already on there . Yeah , anyway , um , it looks , it looks . I don't know functionally it it . I need a couple more knobs and switches , but personally , uh , cargo trunk room small uh , and rear seats , uh , don't fold completely flat . What I liked about it ? I did like the minimalist layout . It kind of reminds one of the space new spaceships that are going into orbit now . Um , that , uh , you know you get the inside of the cockpit , yeah , flat screen and they're laid back and they've got the screen there they just touch , touch the screen .

Buick Kind of , but a lot less knobs and switches . What could use improvement ? Most controls are relegated to the infotainment screen or the steering wheel , which makes for extra unnecessary steps when looking for like , for instance , the HVAC controls . You got to go through screens to get to the HVAC controls . Some of you may like that . It was a little awkward for me , but I only got to drive it for a week .

Two liter turbo , four cylinder , 246 horsepower , 269 pound feet of torque , nine speed automatic transmission . Tow rating almost 4000 pounds gas mileage 20 in the city , 27 on the highway for combined to 22 I got 24.6 miles per gallon over 356.8 miles . What I liked about it ? The mileage . What could use improvement ? It's got a bit of turbo lag that you've got to be prepared for and ride and handling . I liked the quietness . Four bangers typically make a lot of noise . This one did not . I didn't take it off-road but based on its equipment , it should do well there .

The other problem that I have with going back to the turbo lag in cars that have the start-stop feature , which this one has , typically you let your foot off of the brake and that starts the engine .

Yes , not on this one , really , because it has a hold feature . So you let your foot off the brake and it does nothing , but it keeps the brake on the heel hold . Well , they don't call it that a hill hold or descent control , they don't call it that . Okay , so if you're stopped , let's say , for instance , at a stop sign right , and you're ready to go , and cars are going back and forth and you need to get across that intersection , you let your foot off the brake and the engine doesn't start until you hit the accelerator pedal . That's an added delay there that I found frightening actually , because you know , in this city , with all the traffic that we have , when there's a hole to get across the traffic , you jump on it , you jump on it .
